Overview

The PR102 is the simple and economical way to turn almost any parallel port matrix printer into an AS/400 Twinax IPDS/AFP.  You can use printers from Epson, Lexmark, Okidata, and others to name just a few of the supported types of printers.

Praim offers both laser and matrix IPDS solutions for the Twinax environment. All connect an IBM AS/400, S/3X or 5294, 5394, 5494 remote control units or compatibles to a PC printer.

Features

• Supports most important IPDS functions for PPDS (matrix), PPDS (laser), Epson FX, Epson DFX, Epson LQ, and Bull Compuprint printers.
• Connects to most matrix, PC compatible printers or PPDS lasers.
• Emulates an IBM 4224/101 and 4234/12 printers.
• PC-Host share allows sharing the printer with other input devices.
• Two interface possibilities are provided : Centronics parallel and serial RS-232.

Auto port sensing for simultaneous printing from Host or PC connection makes the product an excellent choice for work groups. IPDS refresh feature ensures accurate IPDS printout on printers which handle multiple data streams.

The wide variety of resident fonts can be used to create professional-looking, and easy-to-read documents in more than fourteen languages.

Sixteen different bar codes, including POSTNET and Code 128 allow quick and accurate data entry when used for business process automation.
